結城浩氏の日記に大切な事がかかれていたのでメモ。
ところで（何度も日記で書いている話だが）、文章を書いて自分の理解を試そうとした場合、もっとも重要なのが「わかったふりをしない」ということだ。「わかったふり」は、非常に学習の邪魔になる。
「ここはまだわかっていないけれど、先に進もう」という態度はそれほど悪くはない。悪いのは、わかっていないのに「自分はわかっている」と思い込もうとする態度だ。
これは、ものごとを学ぶ際には常に心がけておくべきことだと思います。わかったふりをすると、後でその部分からほころびが生じてきます。
かといって、常に完璧に学び全てを吸収していこうとすると全然先に進みませんので、わかってないことを自覚して先に進むという態度も必要になってきます。先に進んでから前のことを振り返ると簡単に理解できたというのは良くあることですし。自分が理解してない箇所がどこか認識していれば良いと思います。
具体的には、本に決まった色の付せんを貼っておくとか。
しかし本を頭からじっくり読む際に、自分がその本に書いてあることを理解しているかどうか振り返りながら読むというのも結構負担だったりします。同じ箇所をぐるぐる読み返してしまったり。
もちろん結城先生のようにアウトプットで自分の理解度を確かめるというのはとても大切です。しかし、インプット時の理解（インプット時だと理解というよりも吸収？）もより効率的に、確実にできるともっと幸せです。
最近、僕が本（参考書）を読むときに試しているのは
（1）まず区切りがつくまで（1章とか）結構なスピードで止まらずに読む（斜め読みってほど速くはない）
（2）その直後にもう一度今度はボールペン片手に線を引っ張ったり書き込んだりして読む
という2段階のインプットの方法です。
1回目でまず章全体の流れを俯瞰します。目次を見るとか斜め読み程度でも良いのかなとも思いますが、多少時間をかけてでも全部の文章を追うことで、頭の中で「あれは、この辺に書いてあった」「これに関しては、2箇所に分けて書いてある」などと情報の全体の流れの中での位置づけを知ることができます。
（正直、「～は～に書いてあった」と言えるほどしっかりと対応させてはいないかも。止まらずに読むと結構あいまいで、おおざっぱな位置づけしかできません。そもそも「理解」はしていないわけですし。）
そして2回目にこんどは自分が理解できているかどうか注意しながら読みます。その時、理解しがたい説明に出会ったとしても、後の方まで既に文字を追ってあるので、その理解しがたい部分が何が何でもそこで理解しなきゃならないか、それともチェックをつけて飛ばすなりなんなりしても良い枝葉か、それとも後でもう1度繰り返される説明なのかetc...をすぐに判断することができます。たぶん。
書き込みは、そのとき読むだけならいらないのですが、後で読み返すときに線が引っ張ってあったりすると便利なので、後のことを考えて書き込みます。そのとき、書き込みの指針みたいなのがあると、書き込むときも読み返すときも楽かもしれません。たとえば、有名な3色ボールペンとか。
